Sherry Moyer Eshleman lettered four years as a member of Shippensburg’s Field Hockey team. She grew up near Elizabeth and is a Manheim Central High School graduate.

One of the finest defensive players to ever compete for Shippensburg, Eshleman helped the Lady Raiders go undefeated twice.

In 1968, her freshman year, Eshleman helped Shippensburg go undefeated with an 8-0 record. For her efforts she was named to the Susquehanna I Team and competed in the Mid-East Tournament following the conclusion of the season.

The next season Shippensburg was 5-1-2, and then the team compiled a 4-3-1 record in 1970.

In 1971 Shippensburg was undefeated with a 5-0-3 record. One of the wins was a 2-1 victory over Penn State. Eshleman was selected for post season play. She was a member of the Susquehanna II team in 1971 and competed in the Mid-East Tournament.

After graduation Eshleman entered the teaching profession becoming a fourth-grade teacher in the Lampeter-Strasburg school district.
