Tracy Leve was a defensive standout for the Shippensburg women’s lacrosse team who was a two-time USWLA Division II/III First Team All-American in 1983 and 1984. A two-year captain, she also earned All-PSAC First Team honors in 1983 which is determined by all the coaches in the PSAC.

As a freshman in 1981, Shippensburg advanced to the PSAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship after finishing the regular season with a 7-2 record. However, the team lost two games in the conference tournament and ended the year with a mark of 7-4.

In 1982, the Lady Raiders had a 3-7-1 final record with two losses to Millersville who went on to win the AIAW Division III national championship. That year, Tracy scored two goals as a defensemen.

As a junior in 1983, Tracy was named tri-captain along with seniors Ellen Carnwath and K.C. Freeland and helped the team finished 5-3-1 by totaling a career-high 15 goals from her defensive position which included eight over the season’s final two games as she scored four goals in each.

The Lady Raiders picked two wins against Division I teams in Bucknell and Towson and Tracy received All-PSAC and USWLA Division II/III All-America First Team honors.

In 1984, Tracy was named co-captain along with Deb Flynn. After scoring 12 goals, an average of 1.3 goals per game, Tracy was again named USWLA Division II/III All-America First Team for the second-straight season. She was also named to Bryne’s National Lacrosse Honorary Team. Shippensburg finished with a 3-6 record, but three of those losses came against Division I competition.

While being a fierce competitor and team leader, Tracy graduated with Honors with a BS degree in Accounting. After graduation, she continued her education with a MBA in Finance from Loyola College and gained her certification as a CPA in Maryland. Additionally, Tracy continued to play club-level Lacrosse for 9 years in Maryland with many championship seasons. She also coached in a women’s lacrosse start-up league in Howard County, Maryland which later was added as a school sponsored sport. Howard County remains the top producer of lacrosse players in Maryland. Tracy was also selected to tryout for the national U.S. Lacrosse team.

Tracy has continued to use her leadership skills in her career aspirations including being Vice President of Finance and Controller for a privately-held Cruiseline.
