Bill Corman Jr., a member of the Class of 1972 and a Shippensburg native, was one of the best wrestlers to ever wear the Red and Blue. He lettered four times, was a conference place winner three years in a row, and helped Shippensburg place 15th at the NCAA national championships twice.
During his career he broke nearly every school record in the books. He was the first Shippensburg wrestler to ever win 75 matches and finished his career with 79. He had a winning percentage of .832.
Following graduation he was an assistant coach at Cumberland Valley High School and then served as a graduate assistant coach at Shippensburg University in 1974. From 1975 to 1982 he was the Red Raiders assistant wrestling coach. He served as head coach from1982 to 1984.
Corman later became a Learning Disabilities teacher at Shippensburg Junior High School.
