Eric Bologa is a 4-time NCAA All-American hurdler and sprinter for the Raiders who finished as a seven-time NCAA national qualifier (4x individual, 3x relay) and seven-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Champion (2x 400H, 2x indoor 400, 2x outdoor 4x4, 1x indoor 4x4) who contributed to five school records (including two conference relay records) during the glory days of Shippensburg University men’s track & field in the mid-2010s.

From 2012-15, Shippensburg won all eight PSAC team championships (four indoors, four outdoors) – and contributed to myriad accolades for the Raiders during that time. Among the most memorable is SU’s all-time conference championships points record (278 points in 2014). Individually, Bologa has score more points than any other Raider at the PSAC Championships (26) while ranking fifth all-time among SU athletes in combined points from indoor and outdoor sprints (66).

Bologa graduated with five school records to his name: indoor 400 meters, indoor 500 meters, indoor 4x400-meter relay, outdoor 400-meter hurdles, and outdoor 4x400-meter relay. To this day, Bologa still maintains the school records in the 500 meters and with both 4x4 relays while ranking third in school history in both the indoor 400 meters and outdoor 400-meter hurdles.

The 4x4 relays (3:12.52 indoors, 3:10.43 outdoors), on which Bologa ran the opening leg of each, remain all-time PSAC records.

Following graduation, Bologa quickly took to coaching. For the last three seasons, Bologa has served as the head track & field coach at Dickinson College. Bologa has been a collegiate head coach for five seasons – his first head coaching job was at Scranton for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, where he and his staff was named the Landmark Conference Women's T&F Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023.

Prior to becoming a head coach, Bologa was an assistant coach at Dickinson and Frostburg State University for three seasons each, in which he instructed athletes in a variety of disciplines including sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, throwers, and multis.

Bologa received his bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in communication/journalism from Shippensburg in 2015. He also earned a master’s degree in counseling from Frostburg State in 2017
