Jack Roddick is being honored for his contributions to Shippensburg athletes as a coach.
Roddick joined the faculty in the fall of 1954 as an assistant professor, head track coach and assistant football coach.
In 1955 he was named head football coach, a position he held until 1963.
His 1957 team shared the Pennsylvania Conference title with a perfect 5-0 record in the league and 6-0-1 record overall.
His 1956 and 1959 teams came close to winning conference titles with 6-2 overall records.
For his career Roddick finished with a record of 35-34-3.
