His average of 20.3 yards per catch was the school record at the time and remains one of the best in school history. One of his greatest performances occurred against Bloomsburg when he caught five passes for 153 yards. Later in the year against Indiana, he teamed with quarterback Tim Ebersole to tie the national record for the longest pass reception, a 99 yard play for a touchdown.

In track and field, Noon won the PSAC crown in the triple jump in 1979, 1980, and 1981 and the long jump in 1979 and 1980. He was second in the long jump in 1981 and 1982. An injury prevented him from possibly winning a fourth consecutive triple jump championship. His best leap of 24-0 ½ was only a half inch off the school record. Shippensburg won the PSAC team title in track in 1982, its first in 24 years.

After graduating, Noon worked at the Woodside Juvenile Detention Center in Harrisburg as a supervisor and juvenile court liaison.
