Donny Graybill is the only Raider to ever earn All-America honors in an indoor or outdoor multis competition, having placed fifth in the heptathlon at the 2010 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships. He is a two-time PSAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, having won the award as a junior and senior, and he still holds the all-time PSAC indoor record for the heptathlon (5,092 points).

Graybill was a two-time NCAA Indoor Championships qualifier in the heptathlon, placing fifth as a senior in 2010 and ninth as a junior in 2009. He scored 5,072 points at the NCAA Championships for his All-America finish, which is just 20 points shy of the all-time PSAC record he set in winning the 2010 PSAC Indoor Championship in the event. Both Graybill and Slippery Rock’s Brady Wert shattered the previous conference record (4,924 points) at the 2010 PSAC Championships, a testament to the competition that season.

Capping off his senior season, Graybill won the PSAC outdoor championship in the pole vault, placed seventh in the high jump and eighth in the triple jump despite an injured hamstring – practically willing the Raiders to a PSAC Championship (its second of what is now 12-in-a-row). Overall, Graybill was a nine-time PSAC outdoor place-winner, which includes a PSAC title in the decathlon as a junior. He finished as a three-time conference place-winner in the decathlon, taking third as a sophomore and seventh as a freshman.

Indoors, Graybill was named the 2009 PSAC Indoor Championships Most Valuable Athlete and PSAC Indoor Championships Field MVP after winning the heptathlon and placing third in the pole vault. His heptathlon score of 4924 led to his qualification for the NCAA Championships and resulted in the first of his two PSAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year awards.

In addition to graduating with the school record (and conference record) in the indoor heptathlon, Graybill also graduated with the school record in the outdoor decathlon that has since been broken.

Graybill was a sports medicine student worker for three years at Shippensburg, a duty he maintained while competing in track & field.

After graduating in 2011, Graybill received his commission as an Officer in the U.S. Navy. He is currently serving as the Supply Officer onboard USS RAMAGE (DDG 61) – stationed out of Norfolk, Va. Donny is married to Suzy, a fellow Shippensburg alumni who swam for the Raiders. The couple has three children: William, Ellie, and Lily, and family dog Henry.
