Peggy Pribish Pufnock played midfield for Shippensburg’s 1979 national championship field hockey team. The Lady Raiders compiled a 16-2-3 overall record, and Pribish was an effective offensive and defensive player. She scored five goals and made two assists that season.

The following season, she scored eight goals, the second highest total on the team. Dorothy Fichter, a charter member of the Hall of Fame, scored 15 goals that season.

Pribish, whose hometown is Douglassville, finished her career with 19 goals, the sixth highest total in school history. In addition to lettering four years with the field hockey team, she lettered two years with the softball team.

Following graduation, Pribish worked as a dispatcher with the Pottstown Police Department. She than became a security supervisor with VF Factory Outlet.
