Former Shippensburg University wrestling coach and director of athletics, Bill Corman was named as an honorary member, a category recognizing retired coaches and administrators.

Corman was the head wrestling coach at Shippensburg for 1956-57 academic years to 1982. He was also director of athletics from 1971 to 1982 and head baseball coach from 1961 to 1965.

Corman made his mark in the wrestling world. His teams compiled a won-loss record of 231-166-8 over the course of 26 seasons. He had 23 winning years during that time. Corman’s 1972 team was 15th in the nation among NCAA College Division teams and his 1978 team was 22nd in the NCAA Division I.

During his tenure as director of athletics, Shippensburg teams steadily improved. Red Raider teams had an overall winning percentage of barely .400 at the beginning of his directorship. However, the winning percentage was better than .500 from 1974 until his retirement and has not dipped below .500 since then.
