Paulette “Pip” Henry was a starter in field hockey and basketball. Even though she was an outstanding basketball player, Henry shined in field hockey setting several records.

During her career, Henry scored 32 goals to rank second in school annals. She also tied a school record for goals scored by an individual in a single game with six. She scored 13 goals in a season which at the time was a school record.

Shippensburg went undefeated in 1967 and 1968, her freshman and sophomore years. Henry was team MVP in 1970.

Henry also played on Shippensburg’s undefeated 1969 basketball team. She was the captain of the 1971 squad.

After graduation, Henry entered the field of education where she served as a math and computer science teacher in the Dallastown school district. Henry also coached basketball.
