Players and coaches will not have media availability on gamedays with the exception of brief postgame interviews granted to accredited media members.
Practice Coverage
Practices are closed to the media. Any media seeking a need at practice need to contact the Shippensburg Sports Information Office to assess the need.
Media Credentials Policy
* Season media credentials are only issued to those outlets that cover Shippensburg Athletics on a regular basis and who have applied for such access with the sports information office.
* All passes are approved and issued on a game-by-game basis with the exception of beat reporters who cover the team for a credentialed organization and produce regular reports.
* Passes are non-transferable and are subject to immediate revocation if transferred to non-working members of a media outlet.
* Due to limited space and to ensure compliance with NCAA guidelines, no credentials will be issued to freelance writers or photographers without a specific assignment.
* Upon request, credentials can be issued to web sites that are affiliated with national or regional media organizations, (for example, D2Football.com, PAFootballNews), or websites of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference schools or non-conference opponents.
* All persons picking up credentials will be required to furnish positive identification and proof of assignment. All credentials are non-transferable, and no credentials will be issued to those under the age of 18. When possible, credentials will be mailed in advance of game day, but can also be picked up at the North stadium entrance on the scoreboard side of the field, two hours prior to game time.
Photography Regulations
* Photo passes will be issued only to accredited photographers on assignment. At football, there are no exceptions. Photographers who have been requested field access in advance must obtain a credential from the sports information staff in the Seth Grove Stadium press box to gain admittance to the field.
* Under NCAA and PSAC rules, photographers are not allowed to photograph between the 20-yard lines and must remain outside of the restraining lines surrounding the playing field. STAY OUT OF THE TEAM BOXES.
* Photographers are expected to comply with all University regulations and policies. Any photographer or any media member not complying with instructions of University staff may be required to surrender their credentials.
Player Interviews
All player interviews should be arranged through Shippensburg Sports Information Director Bill Morgal whenever possible. Player phone numbers will be released only if approval has been granted through the Sports Information Office.
Post-game football Interviews
The SU head coach and selected players will be brought to the media room of Seth Grove Stadium for post-game interviews following home football games. Interviews with the visiting team coach and players should be coordinated by the opponent's SID staff, if possible. Media will be guided over to Heiges Field House to converse with the visiting team after the completion of interviews with SU players and coaches.
