Kristy O'Hara Trn was one of the most prolific scorers in SU and PSAC history. She scored 1,765 points during her career, one of the highest in school history. She held the Lady Raider career free throw record with a percentage of 78.8 percent.

In her first season, Trn averaged 7.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. The following season she led the Lady Raiders to their first winning season in seven years. Trn averaged 18.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Her three-point shooting percentage of 51 percent is still the team single season record. She became co-holder of the single game record for free throw shooting when she hit 10 of 10 against West Chester. She had a season high of 36 points in that game. At the end of the year she was named first team All-PSAC Western Division.

As a junior in the 1991-92 season, Trn led the team to a 17-10 record, the second highest in team history at that time. Trn improved her scoring average to 20.2 points per game. She pulled down 6.9 rebounds per game and hit 80.2 percent from the foul line. Trn reached double figures in 26 of 27 games and had a season high of 41 against Slippery Rock. At the end of the season she was named to the All-PSAC West first team and the first team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference.

During her senior year she led the team with 22.9 points per game (scoring 595 in 26 games) and with 241 rebounds, an average of 9.3 a game. Twice that season she made 15 rebounds in a game. She finished her career with 669 rebounds. At the time of her graduation, Trn was second in career assists with 335 and fourth in steals with 187. She is the only player in Shippensburg history to lead the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and blocked shots in the same season.

Trn set the Lady Raider single game scoring record of 45 points, a feat she accomplished against Cheyney, February 11, 1993. She hit five of five from three-point range that night and her three point shooting accuracy in that game set a PSAC record.

For the third year in a row, Trn was named first team All-PSAC West and for the second time was an All-ECAC first team selection. Trn was a NCAA Division II first team All-East Region player and an honorable mention All-American in 1993.

Following graduation, Trn worked as an assistant coach until she was named Lady Raider head coach for the 1999-2000 season. During her tenure with the Lady Raider coaching staff, she was part of six straight PSAC championships from 1996 to 2001, eight straight NCAA tournament invitations, and nine straight PSAC tourney appearances. Trn was the PSAC Western Division Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2002, andas of then had a career record of 83-35. The Lady Raiders earned conference titles in 2000 and 2001. Her 2001 team reached the NCAA Division II national semifinal game after winning the East Region championship.

Trn received her master’s degree in administration of justice in 1994.
