Junior Rikki Sargent added two more event victories to her weekend haul on Saturday, claiming gold in the 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley, as the Shippensburg University women's swimming team dropped a morning dual meet to IUP, 121-79.
 
Sargent swam 2:15.44 in the 200 IM, with freshman Erin Fife one second behind in 2:16.46, and completed the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.04. Freshman Nicole Martorella was one second behind Sargent in the 100-yard breaststroke by swimming 1:10.11.
 
Freshman MacKenna Angert and junior Carolyn Meier each hit conference cuts in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events. Angert swam 56.11 seconds and 2:01.50, while Meier swam 55.16 seconds and 2:01.81.
 
Meier's 100-yard freestyle marked a second-place finish, while Fife also claimed a second-place finish by swimming 1:00.11 in the 100-yard butterfly. Freshman Nollaig Noll hit a PSAC cut in the 50-yard freestyle by swimming 25.86 seconds.
 
Shippensburg has three weeks to train for its first critical meet of the early season, which takes place November 20-22 at George Mason in the Patriot Invitational.
