PRELIMS RESULTSFINALS RESULTS

YORK, Pa. – Izzy Ketterer and Carol Fabian delivered huge personal bests Thursday that resulted in two of the Shippensburg University women's swimming team's four individual scoring performances in action at the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships being held at the Graham Aquatic Center.

Ketterer was the pacesetter in the opening event of the day, the 100-yard butterfly, and achieved new personal bests in both prelims and finals. After qualifying for an evening swim with a time of 59.45 seconds, Ketterer placed 21st overall by swimming 59.15 seconds in the pre-consolation 'C' final.

Fabian had it all come through brilliantly in the 400-yard individual medley (IM). She entered the day with a season-best time of 5:02.79 and obliterated that mark in prelims by swimming 4:46.85 – a new collegiate best by more than seven seconds. It earned her a spot in the 'C' final, and she took full advantage by dropping three more seconds – placing 20th overall on a time of 4:43.91. The new lifetime best comfortably exceeded her previous PR (4:46.35) that dated back to her junior year of high school.

Olivia Carver notched a 13th-place finish in the 400-yard IM, swimming 4:43.06 in the consolation 'B' final after completing prelims in 4:42.89.

Michelle Kubiak set a collegiate best in the 200-yard freestyle with her scoring performance in the 'C' final, placing 18th with a time of 1:56.91. She qualified for an evening swim on the strength of a 1:57.45 prelim time.

Caroline Schweigert and Alyssa Brown achieved new personal bests in the 200-yard freestyle; Schweigert swam 2:02.82 and Brown swam 2:03.56, while Olivia Sitkowski recorded a collegiate best of 2:03.59 that was just .02 seconds off her lifetime best.

Ketterer was not the only Raider with a new personal best in the 100-yard butterfly. Ann Secord touched the wall in 1:01.29, while Ella Nick finished in 1:01.87. Zoë Midura posted a time of 1:00.62 that was just .05 seconds off her PR.

Secord, Hannah Hudson, Midura and Nick contributed to an eighth-place effort in the 200-yard freestyle relay, swimming 1:39.59. The opening split of 25.02 seconds by Secord resulted in her new personal best for the 50 free.

Hudson, Charlee Shaw, Ketterer and Carver ended the night with a time of 3:59.97 in the 400-yard medley.

Shippensburg is in 10th place at the midway point of the meet.

Day 3 begins at 10 a.m. Friday and features a 5:30 p.m. finals session.
