2026 marks the fourth year that the Academic All-America ® program has honored swimming as its own sport. Formerly, swimming had been in the At-Large category, meaning that swimmers were competing with athletes from several other sports to earn Academic All-District ® and Academic All-America ® classifications.

The Academic All-District ® Team is coordinated by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
