2014-15 (Freshman): Made immediate contributions as a breaststroke swimmer for the Raiders in her debut season…recorded times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke at the George Mason Patriot Invitational that immediately put her among SU’s Top 10 in school history for each event…placed 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 12th in the 200-yard breaststroke at the PSAC Championships…contributed to the 200-yard medley relay that placed ninth…also competed individually in the 200-yard IM.
Norristown Area High School: Swam for the Eagles and head coach Dan Casey and competed with the Plymouth Whitemarsh Aquatic Club under coach Taren Igou…earned All-League First Team honors twice in the 100 breaststroke…compiled PRs of 1:07.94 in the 100 breaststroke and 2:28.02 in the 200 breaststroke…set multiple breaststroke records at her high school…won two Suburban One League championships and qualified four times for the PIAA District I meet…achieved a NCSA cut in the 100-yard breaststroke and multiple sectional cuts in both breaststroke events…was a member of the National Honor Society and the National French Honor Society.
About Martorella: Full name is Nicole Alexandra Martorella…is the daughter of Mario and Suzanne Martorella…majoring in exercise science…has a sister, Danielle.
