The Shippensburg University men's indoor track & field team fulfilled its goal of having a successful barometer meet on Friday night with 15 new season bests at the Bucknell Tune Up held inside Gerhard Fieldhouse.
Among the new bests are multiple NCAA-provisional qualifiers, beginning on the track with
Eric Kirk. His new PR of 21.97 seconds was an NCAA provisional qualifier that resulted in a second-place finish. The time converts to 21.59 seconds for the national championships track and ranks 30th in the nation.
Mo Whittle won the 60-meter dash with a finals time of 6.92 seconds and ran a new season best in the 200-meter dash of 22.59 seconds that resulted in a fifth-place finish. Whittle heads into next week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships ranked second in the conference in the 60, sixth in the 200, sixth in the long jump and eighth in the triple jump.
Drew Dailey won the mile in 4:21.02, moving into third place on the PSAC leaderboard. Dailey, the conference's leader in the 800, won the 500 meters on Friday night with a time of 1:06.29.

Kevin Wagner ran 3-4 in the 3K with PSAC automatic qualifiers of 9:02.04 and 9:02.06 respectively.
At the throws area, senior

Pat Maloney. Rideout also improved his season best in the shot to 48 feet, 2 ½ inches.
Josh Herbster landed a lifetime best of 55 feet, 2 ¾ inches that moves him into fourth on the league leaderboard, while
Brooks Bear tossed a season best of 54 feet, 3 ¼ inches.
Jacob Cramer, competing collegiately in the triple jump for the first time, satisfied the PSAC automatic qualifying standard by jumping 42 feet, 11 ½ inches (13.09 meters).
Robert Lissner prepared for his multis competition next week by delivering indoor PRs in the 60-meter hurdles (9.26 seconds) and the high jump (5 feet, 6 ½ inches).
