Junior sprinter
Gabriel Lewis represented the Shippensburg University men's indoor track & field team Friday at the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships by delivering a Top 10 finish in the 60-meter dash that resulted in All-America Second Team honors.

The 2026 NCAA Championships are taking place at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Lewis, competing in the first of three preliminary heats, took fourth in his heat by running a time of 6.71 seconds that is just .05 seconds off his personal best and school record of 6.66 seconds set Feb. 7 at Penn State.

He closed strong after a tough start and missed finals by mere hundredths of a second. Two runners ran 6.70 seconds to finish eighth and ninth respectively.

The 10th-place overall finish results in All-America Second Team honors for Lewis – who was making his NCAA Championships debut.

Tomorrow, junior thrower
Gian Greggo will compete in the shot put at 2:45 p.m.
