SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University junior Tommy Crum Jr. was named the 2025-26 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year award on Wednesday afternoon.

Voting is conducted by the league's head coaches.

Crum Jr. was named the 2026 PSAC Indoor Championships Overall MVP and the 2026 PSAC Indoor Championships Most Valuable Track Athlete after winning all three events in which he competed at the league meet. He won the mile (4:11.46) and the 3K (8:29.32) on Sunday after anchoring the distance medley relay (10:05.78) to a first-place finish on Day 1.

During the regular season, Crum Jr. broke the all-time PSAC record in the mile. At Liberty on Feb. 14, Crum Jr. completed his circuit in 4:04.09 – surpassing the previous record by 1.6 seconds that had been held by Slippery Rock's Ryan Thompson since 2017.

For the second straight year, Crum Jr. was a three-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Atlantic Region honoree. He recorded two individual classifications (the mile, and an 8:14.47 3K achieved at Penn State) and a third for his role on the distance medley relay (DMR).

Shippensburg won its 15th straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) indoor title in 2026, scoring in 16-of-17 events to win the league championship meet by a 79-point margin. The Raiders also finished the season as the No. 1-ranked team in the Atlantic Region per the USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI).

In three years of competition at the PSAC Indoor Championships, Crum Jr. remains undefeated – having won three consecutive 3K titles and two consecutive mile titles while being a part of two consecutive DMR victories. This season marked the second consecutive in which Crum Jr. earned the Overall MVP award at the PSAC Indoor Championships.

Crum Jr. is the sixth Raider in history to win the award, joining Drew Dailey (2022), Aaron Arp Jr. (2020), Kieran Sutton (2016), Matt Gillette (2013) and Allen Hansloven (2005).
