LeQuan Chapman represented the Shippensburg University men's indoor track & field team on Friday at the 2016 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Pittsburg State (Kan.) University.
Chapman, competing in his final collegiate long jump competition, finished 16th overall on a top mark of 22 feet, 9 ¾ inches (6.95 meters) that came on his first attempt. He also jumped 22 feet, 8 ½ inches (6.92 meters) and 22 feet, 9 ¼ inches (6.94 meters).
Friday marked the fourth consecutive NCAA indoor long jump performance for Chapman, who finishes as a two-time First Team All-American. Chapman placed eighth as a freshman at West Chester and seventh last season with the Raiders. As a sophomore, Chapman finished 13th overall.
Adighibe, meanwhile, made his NCAA Championships debut with a run in the 200 meters. Competing in the fifth and final heat, Adighibe ran 22.07 seconds to place 16th overall. The PSAC's 200-meter champion, Adighibe ran a collegiate personal best of 21.54 seconds in the conference finals to achieve his national qualifier and tie the SU school record of Matt Kujawski.
