The Shippensburg University volleyball team recorded a road sweep of Chestnut Hill on Tuesday night in a non-conference match at Sorgenti Arena, defeating the Griffins by set scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 25-23.

Shippensburg (5-7) received another strong performance from junior
Rachel Verhoef, who led the Raiders with eight kills and six blocks (two solo, four assists). Verhoef hit just one error in 17 attempts, swinging .412.

Oyinda Agbale matched Verhoef with a team-high eight kills and was also efficient from the floor, hitting .429. Off the bench, freshman
Tatum Young crunched five kills, including the match winner in the third set, and hit .625.

Sabrina Sheppard each served multiple aces for the Raiders. Both teams finished with eight service aces. Leitner led the Raiders with 12 digs.

Chestnut Hill (2-5) hit just .019 as a team but battled to close margins in the final two sets. The Griffins also used a 7-0 run in the first set to get from 23-12 to 23-19 before the Raiders closed out the opening frame.
