The Shippensburg University volleyball team completed its opening weekend of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play on Saturday with another convincing victory, posting a straight-set road sweep of Clarion by set scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-15.
 
Shippensburg (12-2, 2-0 PSAC) received a team-high 15 kills from senior 
Morgan DeFloria, who swung .224 on a team-high 49 attempts. DeFloria also added eight digs.
 
Junior 
Kendall Johnson was extremely efficient on the offensive side as well, hitting .353 with eight kills. She also had a team-high four block assists. Junior 
Samantha Webber recorded eight kills on the day as well.
 
Sophomore 
Emily Hangen had a solid afternoon with 33 assists and 12 digs. She also contributed two of SU's six service aces. Junior 
Faith Loehle had two services aces.  
 
Junior 
Gabriella Johnson had a team-high 19 digs and was one of three players to record double digits in that category, along with Hangen and junior 
Megan Forstburg.
 
The sweep is Shippensburg's eighth of the season, and extends its overall winning streak to 11 consecutive matches. SU's current streak of consecutive victories is its longest since a 12-match run in 2013 (10/5-26). The Raiders have now produced a win streak of 10 or more matches for the second consecutive season.
