2017 (Freshman): Named the 2017 PSAC Freshman of the Year and earned both an All-PSAC Second Team selection and AVCA Atlantic Region Honorable Mention to highlight a sensational debut season as the starting setter…started all 29 matches in which she appeared…totaled 1,123 assists…ranked second in the conference with 10.5 assists-per-set and fifth in the league in total assists…tallied at least 21 assists in all 29 of her appearances, including 40 or more assists in 12 matches and 50 or more assists in three matches…notched a single-match career best of 57 assists at Lock Haven in addition to 55 assists against Fairmont State and 53 assists against Clarion…compiled a .291 hitting percentage, including a .714 efficiency (5-0-7) against Lock Haven and a .625 efficiency (6-1-8) against Fairmont State…slotted sixth on the team with 69 kills, including multiple kills in 20 matches and at least one kill in 26 matches…was fifth on the team in digs (279), averaging 2.61 digs-per-set…tallied double-digit digs in 15 matches, including a single-match career best of 21 digs against UPJ…recorded multiple digs in all 29 of her appearances…contributed to 39 blocks, fifth-most on the team…had a hand in a single-match career best six blocks in the regular-season finale against UPJ…played a part in multiple blocks in 11 matches…missed four games late in the regular season due to injury.
 
Exeter High School: Earned three varsity letters for the Eagles under head coach Jason Grove…played club ball for Club Integrity under head coach Ryan Sell…in her senior season she recorded 246 kills, 108 aces, 207 digs and 18 blocks…named All-County as junior and senior…named All-District as junior and senior…received All-State honors as a senior…named 2016 Player of the Year…ranked 66th in her class with a cumulative GPA of 3.8…recognized as gold eagle academically…also earned four varsity letters at Exeter in softball.

About Hangen: Full name is Emily Morgan Hangen…is the daughter of David and Vicki Hangen…majoring in special education and early childhood education…has one sibling, Sammy…her father, Dave, played football and baseball at Millersville.
