SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team ripped 50 kills and posted its second-best hitting efficiency of the season Saturday as the Raiders celebrated Senior Day with a convincing sweep of Millersville by set scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-16 from Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg (18-3, 8-1 PSAC) established leads of 21-14 in the bookend sets of the match while storming out to a 20-8 advantage in the second set. The Raiders swung .328 as a team, committing just nine attack errors, and served a season-high 14 aces – the most in a match by the Raiders since 2014 and the most in a non-Cheyney match since 2007.

Millersville (9-9, 4-5) got a match-high 13 kills without an error from Jayci Suseland but just 21 kills from the rest of the squad. The Marauders swung .207 and also committed just nine attack errors.

Before the match, Shippensburg honored its five seniors:
Morgan DeFloria,
Courtney Malott,
Grace Ramacciotti,
Angela Tarabrella,
Bridget Terrel. All five Raiders saw action in Saturday's match.

DeFloria had nine kills, a career-high six aces, and 16 digs while hitting .269. Malott had a kill, an ace, and 12 digs. Ramacciotti had a dig and an assist; Tarabrella had a dig, and Terrel served a pair of aces and had one dig.

Gabriella Johnson led the Raiders with 13 kills on just two errors, swinging .324. She added two aces and six digs. Fellow junior
Samantha Webber had 11 kills, three blocks and hit .400.

Kendall Johnson had nine kills without an error, hitting .429, while sophomore
Alana Pergine had four kills without an error, hitting .400.

Emily Hangen had 42 assists – a season-high for a three-set match, to complement three aces and nine digs. Leading the defense was junior
Megan Forstburg, who totaled a team-high 22 digs.
