SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team returned to its winning ways Friday night with a straight-set victory over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Southeast Division opponent West Chester by scores of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-16 from Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg (17-3, 7-1 PSAC) got the third straight double-double and 12th of the season from senior
Morgan DeFloria, who posted a team-high 10 kills to go along with 11 digs. Junior
Megan Forstburg had a team-high 19 digs, while sophomore
Emily Hangen had 25 assists, 17 digs and four block assists.

West Chester (16-3, 5-3) hit just .045 against the Raiders, but Allie Duffy notched a team-high eight kills and hit .312. The teams combined for 17 blocks in the match, with the visitors recording nine.

Junior
Gabriella Johnson totaled nine kills and eight digs, while junior
Kendall Johnson had a team-high five block assists. Junior
Samantha Webber had four kills and three block assists.

Redshirt-senior
Courtney Malott had two kills without an error, hitting .400, and three digs. Sophomore
Alana Pergine contributed four kills.

The second set was the decisive frame in the match. In a frame that featured 12 ties and five lead changes, it was West Chester to stake itself to a 21-18 lead. SU countered with a 6-0 run, however, to flip the script and ultimately take the middle frame by two points.
