SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team posted its ninth conference sweep of the season Saturday, recording a straight-set victory over visiting Lock Haven by scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-13 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division matchup from Heiges Field House.
 
Shippensburg (20-3, 10-1 PSAC) got dynamic performances Saturday from junior 
Kendall Johnson and sophomore 
Emily Hangen, as the Raiders maintained their best start to a point this deep in the season in their history; the 1990 edition of the Raiders were 19-4 through their first 23 matches.
 
Johnson slammed 12 kills without an error on 30 attempts – swinging .400. She added four block assists on the day. For the weekend, Johnson totaled 22 kills in two matches – swinging .426 – with eight blocks.
 
Hangen, from her setter position, handed out 43 assists to go along with 10 digs and three blocks. SU hit .243 for the match – marking the eighth time in 11 conference matches that the Raiders have hit .200 or better as a team.
 
Senior 
Morgan DeFloria recorded her 13th double-double of the season with a match-high 15 kills that complemented 11 digs. Junior 
Samantha Webber had nine kills and hit .250. Sophomore 
Alana Pergine contributed four timely kills.
 
SU was solid once again defensively. Five players finished with double-digit digs, including a team-high 15 from junior 
Megan Forstburg. SU's libero also had three assists, including multiple strong passes that contributed to points and preserved rallies.
 
Redshirt-senior 
Courtney Malott notched 13 digs – her seventh double-digit dig effort of the year – while junior 
Gabriella Johnson had 11 digs to go along with seven kills.
 
DeFloria ended each of the first two sets with kills, while freshman 
Joelle Schultz finished the match with one of her two kills on the afternoon.
 
Lock Haven (8-12, 3-8) got eight kills from both Breanna McDonald and Veronica Morrison, while libero Shaye Whiteman led all players with 26 digs.
