The Shippensburg University women's tennis team completed its weekend at the 2017 Bloomsburg University Invitational on Sunday, winning one singles and two doubles matches in competition from the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
Junior
Victoria Galanti was a double winner on Sunday. Galanti won 6-2, 6-3 over East Stroudsburg's Ivonna Pittman. She later teamed up with sophomore
Kelsey Olsen for an 8-3 victory over ESU's Pittman and Katie Rivera.
Also in doubles, sophomore
Madeline Carson and junior
Kaylin Gallagher combined for an 8-6 victory over East Stroudsburg's Amanda Jackson and Aubrianna Stetina.
Other notable efforts in singles player included sophomore
Alison Miller falling in three sets to Bloomsburg's Cara Eschenmann by scores of 6-4, 0-6, 2-10.
Shippensburg will have its home opener at 4 p.m. Wednesday when it hosts Clarion from the Robb Sports Complex Tennis Courts.
