SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's swimming team will have 13 athletes in competition this week at the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships, being conducted Thursday through Sunday at the Graham Aquatic Center inside the York County (Pa.) YMCA.
Ticket prices vary depending on age and session. For adults, evening session tickets are $7, morning session tickets are $5, and an all-session pass is $45. For students, a ticket for any session is $2, and an all-session pass is $15. Students of PSAC member schools receive free admission with valid identification. Tickets go on sale each morning at 8 a.m. and each evening at 4:30 p.m.
Shippensburg is limited in numbers once again this season, but looking to make the most of its swims as it battles with several schools in what figures to be a tight middle of the pack in the league standings.
Junior
Kristian Voulopos made four finals last season, while senior
Shaun Smith has contributed to 10 scoring relays in his career and is poised to qualify for his first finals swims.
Of SU's 13 qualifiers, seven are either freshmen or sophomores. Freshman
Jeff Beyer leads a group of four talented freshmen looking to make a significant impact at their first league championship meet.
Shippensburg has finished in sixth place in each of the last two seasons after posting three consecutive seventh-place finishes.
