SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's swimming team has maintained its consistent level of strong academic performance, as it was named Wednesday as a Fall 2016 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team.

Shippensburg's women posted a 3.03 team GPA this past fall as one of eight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams to receive the honor.

The Scholar All-America Team award is presented to college swimming and diving teams that achieved a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
