Softball Begins Salem Stay With 6-1 Victory Over Bowie State

Wilson posts victory; Pattillo and Giovenco hit home runs

Box Score The Shippensburg University softball team began its three-day stint in Salem, Va. at the annual West Virginia Wesleyan Tournament with a 6-1 victory over Bowie State on Friday night in a game played at the Moyer Complex.

Freshman pitcher Taryn Wilson got the win, while seniors Briana Giovenco and Taylor Pattillo each hit home runs in the victory.

A complete box score will be available later this weekend.

SU plays at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday in Salem.
