Five Raiders named to 2025-26 Division II Academic All-District ® Softball Team

Bauman, Cimino, Ehrlacher, Martell, and Sabocsik recognized for their combined efforts in academia and athletics

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University softball team had five of its players named Tuesday to the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-District ® Team, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
 
Junior Reagan Bauman is an exercise science major with an allied health pre-professional concentration and a minor in gerontology who maintained a 3.71 cumulative grade point average (GPA) during the Spring 2026 semester.
 
Bauman, the Raider right fielder, earned All-Pennsylvania State Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division First Team and All-Region honors as an outfielder with a .373 batting average. She added 16 doubles, five triples, five home runs, 36 RBIs and 45 runs scored.
 
Sophomore Gianna Cimino is an exercise science major with an allied health pre-professional concentration who maintained a 3.59 cumulative GPA during the Spring 2026 semester.
 
Cimino, who started all but one game at second base, posted a .299 batting average with 10 home runs, eight doubles and a triple with 35 RBIs.
 
Senior Rilee Ehrlacher graduated with a degree in communication studies earlier this month after maintaining a 3.57 cumulative GPA during the Spring 2026 semester.
 
Ehrlacher, the Raider left fielder, ranked second on the team with a .374 batting average. She recorded 17 doubles, eight home runs, a triple with 40 RBIs and 110 total bases.
 
Senior Caitlyn Martell graduated with a degree in marketing this month after maintaining a 3.83 cumulative GPA during the Spring 2026 semester.
 
Martell, the Raider shortstop, earned All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team and All-Region honors at shortstop with a .392 batting average. She led the Raiders in hits (82), RBIs (43), and total bases (124) while slugging eight home runs, 16 doubles and a triple. 
 
Junior Sarah Sabocsik is an exercise science major with an allied health pre-professional concentration who maintained a 3.88 cumulative GPA during the Spring 2026 semester.
 
Sabocsik, the Raider center fielder, posted a .260 batting average with a .428 on-base percentage. She delivered eight doubles, three triples and five home runs.
 
Martell is now a three-time Academic All-District ® award winner. Sabocsik earns her second honor while it is the first for Bauman, Cimino and Ehrlacher.
 
The Academic All-District ® Team is coordinated by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
 
Per CSC, eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Pitchers must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
