SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University softball team had four players named Monday afternoon to the 2026 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region Second Team.

Reagan Bauman, pitcher
Dani Hayward, shortstop
Caitlyn Martell and third baseman
Emilee Sullivan were all named to the All-Region Second Team.

Shippensburg earned the most selections of any school in the Atlantic Region.

Martell, now a four-time D2CCA All-Region selection, picks up her fifth All-Region honor of her career after being named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Atlantic First Team on Friday.

It is the second All-Region honor of the season for Bauman, Hayward and Sullivan as they were each previously named to the 2026 NFCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team.Â

Bauman ended the season ranked third on the team with a .373 batting average. She completed the regular season ranked fourth in the conference in hits (64) and seventh in on-base percentage (.467). Bauman had 21 extra-base hits, with 16 of those being doubles, and 36 RBIs. She has recorded 20 multi-hit games and a produced a team-best 15-game hitting streak during the season.

Hayward, the Raider ace, paced the pitching staff this season with a 28-6 record including six shutouts, 197 strikeouts and a 2.23 ERA. Hayward's 28 wins this season rank fourth in the nation and are second in single-season school history. She is ranked second in Division II with 31 complete games and sixth in innings pitched (225.1).

At last week's regional tournament, Hayward recorded a 1.68 ERA across 16.2 innings while striking out 13 and allowing just one extra-base hit.

Martell led the SU offense this season with a .392 batting average and 82 hits. Among them are 16 doubles, a triple and eight home runs to go along with 43 RBIs with 44 runs scored. She drew 16 walks while producing 22 multi-hit games and ten multi-RBI games. Martell recorded a team-best 15-game hitting streak earlier this season.

Defensively, Martell boosts a .985 fielding percentage with 205 total chances. During the regular season, Martell was ranked 18th overall in the league in fielding percentage even when factoring in first basemen, catchers, and outfielders.

Sullivan wrapped up the season with a .353 batting average and a .435 on base percentage (OBP). Her batting average, OBP, slugging percentage (.413), doubles (7), RBIS (35), hits (59), runs scored (29) and walks (22) were all career bests for the senior. Defensively, Sullivan recorded a .946 fielding percentage with 186 total chances at third base. Her 21-game reached base streak was a team best for SU this season.

Sports information directors from the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.

The Atlantic Region consists of schools from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the Mountain East Conference (MEC), and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), along with independents.
