The Shippensburg University swimming teams return to the pool this weekend by traveling west, participating in a dual meet Friday night at California (the women will also face Fairmont State at the meet) before waking up early for a 10 a.m. Saturday meet at IUP.

It is the second weekend of dual-meet competition for the Raiders, who hosted West Chester and Southern Connecticut State three weeks ago inside Donald N. Miller Pool.

The team wrapped up its training this weekend on Thursday with a "Pumpkin Swim," in which it dimmed the lights but lined the pool decks with carved pumpkins that had lit candles inside them to illuminate the pool (pictured above).

This weekend's dual meets mark the final competition in the pool before SU gets into its early-season taper period in advance of the Patriot Invitational at George Mason University (Nov. 20-22) and the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College (Dec. 5-7).
