SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team dropped its home finale to Millersville on Wednesday, 7-0, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action at Robb Sports Complex.
 
Shippensburg (3-16, 1-5 PSAC East) won multiple singles games at the No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 flights. Noelle Htwar defeated sophomore Corinne Markovich at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1. Lauren Hayes bested junior Brooklynn Rupert at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1, and Sophie Lanius won against junior Kendall Winters, 6-2, 6-1.
 
Millersville (13-7, 4-0), the PSAC East's top seed, also claimed the doubles point by sweeping the No. 1 and No. 3 flights. Winters and freshman Brinley Orris won two games at No. 2 doubles.
 
Shippensburg concludes its season at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bloomsburg.
