The Shippensburg University women's tennis team fell at Bloomsburg on Saturday to conclude its 2023-24 season, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Huskies in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.

Shippensburg (3-17, 1-6 PSAC) got singles victories from juniors
Brooklynn Rupert and
Kendall Winters. Rupert, in the No. 5. singles spot, split her first two sets with BU's Alese Rinker before taking the tiebreaker 10-5. Winters, at No. 6 singles, also split her first two sets with Juliana Kim before getting the job done with a 6-2 victory in the third set.

Bloomsburg (7-8, 3-3) won all three doubles flights for the doubles point and won matches in the top four singles slots to come away with the win.

All of the Raiders won multiple singles games, including five at No. 4 singles for senior
Brighid Cantwell, who wrapped up her Raider career in the contest. Cantwell concluded her senior season with a 6-8 record in singles, including three divisional victories.

Rachel Gallagher, who won three games at No. 2 singles, finished the season with four victories against PSAC East opponents.
