SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team was swept by East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon at Heiges Field House. Set scores were 24-26, 12-25, 20-25.

Shippensburg (11-14, 4-6 PSAC East) was led by junior
Oyinda Agbale with nine kills, one error and a .381 hitting percentage. Freshman
Kat Negron had eight kills, three aces and a career high of 16 digs.

Lily Letchworth had 20 assists and five digs. Freshman
Tatum Young had a career high of 12 digs and two blocks.

East Stroudsburg (13-9, 8-2) had one player with double-digit kills. The Warriors hit .286 with 11 errors compared to the Raiders, who hit .024 and had 24 errors. SU had nine aces compared to ESU's four.
In the opening set, the Raiders led 12-5. The Warriors found their hitting rhythm and went on a 10-3 run. A few errors from SU secured the set for ESU. In the second set, the Warriors won the first five points and only committed two errors to win the frame. The Raiders fought back in the third set and tied the score at 16-16, but the Warriors went on an 8-2 run and never looked back.

Shippensburg will be back next week at Heiges Field House for its last two home conference matchups, beginning Friday at 7 p.m. against Bloomsburg.
