The Shippensburg University wrestling team faced off against Minot State on Friday night at the Kutztown University Duals, earning three decisions but dropping the dual meet to the Beavers by a 30-8 score in competition from O'Pake Fieldhouse.
 
Shippensburg got on the board at 133 pounds, where freshman Jake Downing posted his fourth victory of the season with an 11-8 decision.
 
Wrestling at 174 pounds, redshirt-junior Adam Martz squeaked out a 7-6 decision. At 197 pounds, redshirt-sophomore Alexi Castro won a 6-4 decision.
 
The Beavers scored bonus points in four bouts en route to the victory, including two victories by fall and one technical fall.
 
SCHEDULE UPDATE: Shippensburg will not compete Saturday at the KU Duals. Friday night's match against Minot State will be its only match of the weekend.
