Weekend Results
The Shippensburg University women's tennis team completed the two-day Bloomsburg University Open tournament on Sunday, as the Raiders took to the court for 12 singles and 11 doubles matches over two days at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
Senior
Emilie Luttman won both of her singles matches on the weekend. Luttman notched a pair of wins over opponents from Daemen – a 6-2, 6-2 win over Delaney Fragale and a 6-0, 6-1 triumph over MacKenzie Robbins.
Other singles victors included sophomore
Kaylin Gallagher, who recorded a 6-3, 6-1 victory over East Stroudsburg's Aubrianna Stetina, and sophomore
Gabbie Binder, who won a three-set marathon with Daemen's Morgan Park by scores of 6-3, 1-6, 10-7.
The Raiders had three of its doubles teams win a match. Binder and freshman
Catherine Miller teamed up for an 8-6 win over ESU's Devin Presby and Elizabeth Bartoli, while Luttman and Gallagher combined for an 8-1 victory over Daemen's team of Robbins and Briona Luthart.
Sophomore
Hannah Coath and freshman
Daisy Rundio obtained a hard-fought 9-7 doubles victory.
Sophomore
Megan Moorhead had a three-set battle in singles play but came up just short against Bloomsburg's Kayla Davis by scores of 1-6, 7-6, 10-1. Gallagher also went three sets in a singles match, falling to ESU's Lauren Morrissey by scores of 6-3, 3-6, 10-1. Sophomore
Victoria Galanti won three singles points and contributed to six games won in doubles play.
Shippensburg will head back to Bloomsburg next weekend for the PSAC Individual Championships.
