The Shippensburg University women's outdoor track & field team added 17 more conference qualifiers to its weekend haul on Saturday as the Raiders finished up its second day of competition at the Fred Hardy Invitational hosted by Richmond University.
For the second straight day, junior
Sarah Hunt won a jumping event with a NCAA provisional qualifier. Hunt's best long jump was a solid starting mark of 19 feet, 4 ¼ inches. Sophomore
Danielle Sciremammano also achieved a conference qualifying mark of 18 feet, 0 ½ inches.
SU had two strong season-opening efforts in relays. Hunt and Sciremammano ran the two opening legs of the 4x100-meter relay, teaming up with freshman

Lindsay Sheehan for a time of 48.23 seconds.

Megan Lundy ran the 4x400-meter relay in 4:00.19.
Individually, Sheehan paced three Raiders who picked up conference qualifiers in the 100 meters by running 12.55 seconds. King ran 12.72 seconds, and redshirt-freshman
Colleen Troutman crossed the finish line in 12.82 seconds. In the 200 meters, King ran 25.71 seconds and Sheehan ran 25.88 seconds for PSAC cuts.
Tucker led three Raiders with PSAC cuts in the 800 meters, placing fifth in 2:17.68. Junior
Casey Norton completed her turn around the track in 2:19.70, while junior
Abby Shafer ran 2:20.82. Shafer, Norton, freshman

Sciremammano led three Raider conference qualifiers in the 100-meter hurdles, running 14.90 seconds. Sophomore
Kayla Lawson had a time of 15.24 seconds and sophomore
Teri Stoner ran 15.75 seconds.
The only throwing event of the day was the discus, as the javelin was canceled due to an issue with the runway. Junior
Tamara Ovejera paced a group of four Raiders with PSAC mark, throwing a fourth-place distance of 145 feet, 10 inches.
Senior
Brianna Davis placed eighth, throwing 133 feet, 1 inch. Senior
Sam Nelson had a discus throw of 124 feet, while sophomore
Erin Doherty had a top mark of 119 feet, 3 inches.
Shippensburg returns to competition next weekend with a split squad, competing at both William & Mary's Colonial Relays and Millersville's Metrics meet.
