SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Shippensburg University men's basketball team will try for its first playoff victory in 10 years Saturday when it hosts Bloomsburg at 3 p.m. from Heiges Field House in the first round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament.
Shippensburg (18-8, 15-7 PSAC) has already won more games than any SU team since the 2005-2006 season. The Raiders clinched home-court advantage Saturday by beating Bloomsburg on Wednesday, 84-77, in the regular season finale. Both teams finished 15-7 in conference play, but SU held a tiebreaker due to having more wins against teams with a record at or over .500.
The Raiders are seeded fourth while Bloomsburg is the No. 5 seed. The winner of Saturday's game will travel to face PSAC East top seed Kutztown on Tuesday for a quarterfinal matchup. For a complete look at the bracket and schedule visitÂ
