SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University head coach Chris Fite has confirmed the recruitment of three student-athletes who have each agreed to attend the university and will suit up for the Raider men's basketball program for the 2026-27 season.
 
The recruiting class features two freshmen and one transfer. Position-wise, the group includes one guard and two forwards.
 
The freshmen, Collin Bowles and Jonathan Jennings, both hail from Virginia and were teammates on the AAU basketball program Virginia Premier.

2025-26 (Sophomore): Attended Union County College…averaged 20.4 points and 15.5 rebounds in 31 games for the Owls…shot 55.7 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc…led the Owls to a 22-9 record.
 
2024-24 (Freshman): Attended Union County College…averaged 17.0 points and 11.6 rebounds in 30 games.
 
Plainfield High School: Lettered for the Cardinals under head coach Mike Gordon…produced 79 points, 29 rebounds and nine steals in 20 total games played.
 
About Acosta: Full name is Nicolás Acosta…is the son of Feda Sáez…has two brothers, Andrés and Santiago.

Massaponax High School: Earned four varsity letters for the Panthers under coaches Aaron McFarland, Darren Hickman and Nana Djan…competed at the club level for Virginia Premier under coach Corey Stitzel…a First Team All-State guard…a two-time First Team All-Region and four-time First Team All-District selection…produced 1,324 career points and 300 career three-pointers.
