The Shippensburg University swimming team will be holding its first of two home meets this season on Friday at 5 p.m. from Donald N. Miller Pool and will be collecting donations at the event for a worthy cause.
From head coach Tim Verge:
"SHIP Swimming will be collecting donations of money and gift cards at Friday's Homecoming swim meet to help the Harkrader family, who lost their home and possessions in a devastating fire on October 1. Shawn Harkrader '92 and Lynda Vogel Harkrader '94 were both members of the swimming team during their time at SHIP. Please come out on this special homecoming weekend to show your support for the SHIP Swim Team and help us in our efforts to assist Shawn, Lynda and their three children as they continue to move on from this tragic event."
