The Shippensburg University tennis team resumed competition for one night Saturday as it traveled down Interstate 81 to face the Hornets of Shenandoah University, dropping a 9-0 decision at the Winchester Country Club.
In doubles, senior
Julia Saintz and sophomore
Brittnee Buckley won three points at the No. 1 flight. Saintz also won three games in her No. 1 singles match.
Sophomore
Emilie Luttman claimed six games at No. 4 singles but dropped a hard-fought match, 6-1, 7-5.
Shippensburg will resume competition March 24 when it opens league play with a 4 p.m. home match against Kutztown.
