SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team dropped a non-conference home match to the Salem University Tigers Saturday afternoon at Robb Sports Complex.
Shippensburg (4-7) battled in doubles, with each duo winning four games.
Corinne Markovich and
Jade Miller competed as the number one pair followed by
Ava Kalist and
Yasmin De Meyer as the No. 2 doubles team and
Rachel Gallagher and
Brinley Orris at No. 3.
Kalist claimed SU's point with a win at No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-3. Markovich won six games at No. 1 singles, and De Meyer won five in No. 2 singles.
All six Raiders won at least two singles games.
SU returns to action Friday with a road match against PSU Altoona at 4 p.m.
