SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Jeff Tomasetti '13 has been named a full-time assistant coach for the Shippensburg University football team. Tomasetti will serve as the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Red Raiders.
Tomasetti replaces the staff position of Joe Davis, who resigned to take a position at the University of Northern Iowa.
J.C. Morgan was named SU's offensive coordinator and will maintain his role as the running backs coach.
The 2015 season will mark Tomasetti's third year on the Red Raider football staff. He has coached the wide receivers for the last two seasons, working with a group that included All-American
Trevor Harman '14.
In his first season as a Red Raider coach, the SU wide receivers led the PSAC in 2013 with 309 receptions and averaged 7.1 yards per catch.
Tomasetti played for the Red Raiders from 2008-12, serving as a valuable team leader, quarterback and special teams contributor. He was a senior captain in 2012 and is a two-time recipient of the Red Raider Pride Award for his leadership and commitment to excellence.
In his final season, Tomasetti was also honored with the George & Meriem Kaluger Award as the SU Special Teams Player of the Year.
Tomasetti is a native of Claymont, Del. He graduated from Shippensburg in May 2013 with a bachelor of science in history/social studies certification.
