The Shippensburg University volleyball team wrapped up its weekend at the Davis & Elkins Classic on Saturday afternoon with a split of its matches. Shippensburg (6-2) lost a five-set match against Concord, 14-25, 20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 8-15, before rebounding with a sweep over Glennville State, 25-8, 25-20, 25-13.

Taylor Gottshall led all players with 33 kills on 64 attempts while posting a .361 attack percentage over the course of both games. Sophomore
Maura Nolan notched 84 assists and a team-leading seven blocks for the Raiders.

Annie Goerl recorded 21 kills, 15 of which came in the loss to Concord. Goerl also led the Raiders with five service aces.
Junior
Laura Plank contributed 26 digs on the day.

Rebecca Pryor saw significant floor time against Glenville, posting six kills on 11 attempts to go along with one service ace.

Redshirt-freshman
Brittany Whitacre notched a season-high eight kills against Concord. Whitacre backed up her impressive Game 1 performance with an almost equal outing against Glenville. She recorded seven kills against the Pioneers, bringing her total to 15 on the day.

Shippensburg returns to action next weekend when its hosts a PSAC Volleyball Crossover from Heiges Field House. On Friday SU plays Seton Hill at 11:30 a.m. and California at 7:30 p.m.
