The Shippensburg University volleyball team will travel Tuesday for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Quarterfinal matchup with its longtime league nemesis, Lock Haven, at 7 p.m. from Thomas Field House.

Admission has been set by the PSAC at $7 for adults and $2 for students. Any students of PSAC-member institutions, however, receive free admission with their student identification card.

Shippensburg (18-16) is participating in its eighth consecutive PSAC Tournament and its ninth in 11 seasons under the direction of head coach Leanne Piscotty, the all-time coaching wins leader in school history (242-166).

SU has reached the PSAC Semifinals in each of the last two seasons, but it has not faced Lock Haven (20-10) in the postseason since being swept by the Lady Eagles in the 2011 PSAC Quarterfinals.

Thomas Field House has historically been a less than desirable destination for the Raiders. SU is 0-9 at Lock Haven under Piscotty and the Raiders have not defeated the Lady Eagles on their home court in more than 15 years.

Overall, SU has defeated Lock Haven just twice since the Lady Eagles moved into the PSAC Eastern Division in 2008. The Raiders are 3-17 against the Lady Eagles in the last 20 meetings between the two teams, regardless of the location of the match.

Shippensburg nearly had a victory over Lock Haven on Saturday, building a 1-0 and 2-1 lead over the Lady Eagles and achieving an 18-12 lead in the fourth set, but LHU rallied for a five-set victory.

SU is 4-14 in PSAC Tournament matches since 1991.
