SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's volleyball team was a recipient of a 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, as announced Thursday.
 
The Raiders compiled a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.521 in the Spring 2026 semester and a 3.31 team GPA in the Fall 2025 semester to qualify for the award.
 
A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).
