SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University head coach Leanne Piscotty has confirmed the recruitment of six student-athletes who have each agreed to attend the university and will suit up for the Raider volleyball program for the fall 2026 season.
 
"I am very excited for the potential of this class," said Piscotty. "All six of them will fit in very well with our team culture and help make our team better. We have high hopes for their careers."
 
The recruiting class, consisting entirely of incoming freshmen, features two middles, two setters, a defensive specialist/libero and an outside hitter. Three of the newcomers are in-state recruits, while the others represent the states of Maryland, South Carolina and West Virginia.
 
The six newcomers will join a Raider squad coming off a 20-9 overall record and a 12-2 mark in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matches. SU was featured in each edition of the NCAA Atlantic Regional rankings and reached the PSAC Quarterfinals last season.

About Beamer: Full name is Lauren Renee Beamer…is the daughter of Mary Wahl, Robert Beamer and Mark Wahl…stepfather Mark ('92, '06 M), step grandmother Ann ('85 M) both graduated from Shippensburg…step grandfather Richard Wahl was a biology professor at Shippensburg from 1970-94.
