The Shippensburg University swimming teams begin their dual meet schedule this weekend from the friendly confines of Donnie Miller Pool inside Heiges Field House, hosting West Chester and Southern Connecticut State in a tri-meet.
 
The two-day event begins at 5 p.m. Friday and resumes at 10 a.m. Saturday.
 
Winter schedule magnets and swimming schedule posters will be available at the meet. The magnets are pictured below.
 
It is one of just two opportunities to see the Raider swimmers at home in person this season, with the only other occasion being Senior Day on January 9.
 
SU is under the direction of 16th-year head coach Tim Verge '89. The men's team returns 13 swimmers from a year ago, while the women boast 10 returners. Each team adds seven freshmen.
 
The Raiders are seeking a return to prominence in the PSAC standings by season's end. Both teams finished seventh a year ago at the conference championships – which return to York, Pa. for the second straight year when contested in February.
